The 33rd Annual Seabury Hall Craft Fair is set for Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s theme is “It’s All About the Kids.”
Whitney White, a Seabury Hall parent and this year’s event co-chair, says the event raises scholarship money.
“This enables children to attend who otherwise might not be able to,” she says.
The event is held on the school grounds in Olinda directly above Makawao. “We invite everyone to spend a day on the slopes of Haleakala and experience an Upcountry Maui tradition.” White says.
The fair features over 100 of Hawaii’s finest artists and crafters — woodworkers, traditional Hawaiian artists, jewelers, ceramicists and weavers.
“Also a part of this wonderful day is delicious food, island entertainment, fresh produce, cut flowers, children’s games, water slide, pony rides, famous artist face painting, our huge rummage sale, car show, art gallery, 007 Video Productions and the BOH ICS Chili Cookoff.”
All of the special items available at the live and silent auctions can be viewed at www.seaburyhall.org the week before the event.
“We had more than 7,000 people attend last year and everyone raved about it. The artisans, the food, and the great family fun just make this the must-do event of the year for the whole family,” White says.
Gates open at 9 a.m. and parking is free. Admission is $3 and children ages 12 and under are free. For information please call Gayle Hart at 573-0068 or 572-7235.
