Viewpoints Gallery is proud to present a new collection of oil paintings by George Allan.
Celebrating 33 award-winning years as an oil painter on Maui, George Allan is one of the most prolific, respected, collected and loved artists in Hawaii.
The koi pond in the backyard of his home in Kula is the setting for many of his most loved pieces. A painter who says that you shouldn’t take yourself too seriously, George believes that everyone should paint. That it’s easy to go through life without really seeing, and that art requires you to take a good, hard look.
George Allan has taken a good, hard look at Maui and has captured the very essence of her people, her way of life, and her beauty.
Viewpoints gallery is located at 3620 Baldwin Avenue, Suite 101 in Makawao. Please join them for the reception on Saturday, December 22, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The exhibit will run December 20, 2007 through January 15, 2008.
